I need a name change

I created this blog a million years ago, or at least that what it feels like. With inflation, I probably need to change this to $15 wines. Costco has a few that are my staples now around $15. I should also translate my vivino ratings into blog posts. Maybe I will do that more this year.

Wow, it's been a minute

I just realized that this blog was still live. I feel terrible. I wish I had been updating it all these years. Alas, I have moved almost all my tracking to Vivino. But I guess that's what you get when you start a blog when smartphones weren't even a thing. Wow. Time has flown. Drink up!

New App

I am trying a new App, Wine Notes. I like it, but there isn't enough wines in the database. I will keep trying it, but I am 0 for 2 so far.

Had this the other night. Great, great wine. Screw top bottle. Wonderful Oregon Pinot Noir. I could drink it every day.

Nine Points Cabernet Sauvignon

Another 2006 Napa Cab, the Nine Points Cabernet is very good. Much better than the Edgewood. Fruity enough with a little bite and nice tannins. Worth getting again.

Edgewood Estates Cabernet

I tried the Edgewood Estates Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Very mediocre. The other cabs I have had lately are much better. Even the A by Acacia is much better in my opinion. I would skip this one.

2008 Courtney Benham Cab

This is more than $10, but i got it on sale at Safeway. Bold, flavorful, just a touch chewy, but in a good way. I liked it. Worth getting again.
